Mario Ruiz is a technical designer educated at the Elisava School in Barcelona (Spain). In 1995 he founded Costa Design, a design firm driven by a multidisciplinary concept. Under the Costa Design brand, Ruiz manages the execution of industrial and technological projects, such as TVs, electrical appliances, tools or machinery. His Marioruiz brand manages jobs related to furniture, complements, fixtures and experimental design. Among their large client base, you can find prestigious Spanish and international firms from different sectors like Castelli, Kemen, Citterio, Roca, Jané, Famosa, Teka or Blauet. He has received many awards, including several Silver Deltas ADI-FAD, three IF awards and three Red Dots. His projects are often featured on specialized magazines like Diseño, Diseño interior, Arquitectura y diseño, Experiment, etc... Furthermore, Actar editorial has published the book Mario Ruiz/Costa Design, the first monograph about his work.
